TSAFF 2nd District Vice President Beau Simpson and Matt Sapp of Frisco L-3732 testified today at Texas House hearings. Beau testified for HB 2713, regarding civil service issues for firefighters and police in certain municipalities, for HB 1593, regarding an advisory committee to study suicide prevention and peer support programs in fire departments, and against HB 1985, regarding the age limit for a beginning position in a fire department under municipal civil service. Matt testified for HB 331, regarding presumption issues with claims for benefits or compensation for certain medical conditions brought by first responders.
