Tim Mackling of the Flower Mound Professional Firefighters Association and TSAFF President John Riddle testified in support of HB 198, a bill that calls for occupational cancer testing for Texas firefighters. Both advocated for preventative, cost-effective early screening which is far less expensive than late-stage cancer treatment. The bill is sponsored by Rep. Ben Bumgarner (R) and Rep. Armando Martinez (D).
